Ajith Kumar Honoured as Gentleman Driver of the Year 2025

In recognition of his dedication and achievements in the field of racing, Ajith Kumar received the highly respected ‘Gentleman Driver of the Year 2025’ award in the beautiful Italian city of Venice. The award was presented by Stéphane Ratel, CEO of the SRO Motorsports Group, and was announced in the name of the Philippe Charriol Motorsport Group.

In 2024, Ajith Kumar launched his own team, Ajith Kumar Racing, and participated in international championships across Europe and the Middle East, including the Silverstone and Indian Formula 4 series, securing several podium finishes. This award is regarded as the pinnacle of his journey as a professional racer.

At the award ceremony, Ajith Kumar’s wife, actress Shalini, stood proudly by his side and shared the joyous moment on Instagram. “It was an incredibly proud moment to stand beside my husband as he received the ‘Gentleman Driver of the Year 2025’ award in Venice. This award is dedicated to the late Philippe Charriol, a pioneer and passionate racer,” Shalini wrote.

Speaking after receiving the award, Ajith Kumar said, “I accept this award in memory of Philippe Charriol. He was a kind man and a great motivator. The world of motorsport is exciting, challenging, and truly enjoyable for me.”
