Ajith Kumar Completes Dubbing for Upcoming Film Good Bad Ugly Ahead of Pongal Release

Ajith has completed the dubbing work for his much-anticipated film Good Bad Ugly, directed by Adhik Ravichandran. This milestone marks a significant step toward the film’s scheduled release on January 10, 2025, coinciding with the festive season of Pongal.

Good Bad Ugly is an action-comedy that has garnered considerable attention since its announcement in March 2024. The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers, marking their debut in Tamil cinema. The title is inspired by the iconic 1966 Western The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, and the film promises a unique blend of humor, drama, and high-octane action. Ajith Kumar takes center stage in what is his 63rd film, reuniting with Trisha Krishnan, who plays the female lead, for the sixth time in their careers. The ensemble cast also includes notable actors such as Prabhu, Prasanna, Arjun Das, Sunil, Rahul Dev, and Yogi Babu.

The production team boasts a lineup of talented technicians, with Adhik Ravichandran helming the project as director. Cinematography is handled by Abinandhan Ramanujam, editing by Vijay Velukutty, and music by G. V. Prakash Kumar, who collaborates with Ajith after a gap of 17 years since Kireedam in 2007. Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers have invested significantly in the project, making it one of their flagship productions.

Filming began in May 2024 in Hyderabad, with subsequent schedules taking place in Spain and the United Kingdom. Despite facing challenges such as budget escalations and leaked set photos, the production was completed on schedule in December 2024. The film is set to release in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam, aiming to captivate audiences across India. Romeo Pictures has secured distribution rights for Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala, while Netflix acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights for an impressive ?95 crore.
