Ajith’s most recent film ‘Valimai’ directed by H. Vinoth and costarring Huma Qureshi and Karthikeya was well recieved by audiences in spite of mixed reviews. Producer Boney Kapoor officially announced that it collected over rupees two hundred crores worldwide apart from a record breaking viewing on Zee 5 OTT.
The shooting of his next ‘AK 61’ is all set to begin in Hyderabad soon with most of the crew already assembled at the Ramoji Rao Film City there. The mass hero who recently underwent rejuvenation in Kerala has shed a few kilos for the role and will join a few days after the film goes on floors.
It is said in Kollywood circles that the film is based on bank heist and will be a stylish one like ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ films with realistic action and stylish presentation. Sources say that Ajith will be donning the role of a professer and Kavin will play one of his students.
Already the look of Ajith in ‘AK 61’ has gone viral with full grey hair and beard wearing spectacles and a stud in one of his ears. The look does give credence to the report that he is playing a professor. The character is said to have the right mix of class and mass and will make a powerful impact on the audience.
There are also other reports that suggest he is playing dual roles as villain and hero and a contrasting one that says he is actually the villain while Mohan Lal and Nagarjuna are the heroes. But we as usual have to wait for official confirmations.
