We all know that Ajith Kumar was supposed to start his next film with director Vignesh Shivan followed by the grand success of Thunivu. In a shocking turn of events, reports broke out last week that the director of 'AK62' is going to be replaced by the makers, Lyca Productions.
Numerous directors such as Atlee, AR Murugadoss, Vishnuvardhan and Magizh Thirumeni were rumoured to direct the much-hyped project. As per the latest report by Deccan Chronicle, Magizh Thirumeni is the front-runner to replace Vignesh Shivan in AK62. He has been roped in with a big remuneration.
According to sources, AK62 will be made on a huge budget of Rs 220 crores and the team is aiming for a Diwali 2023 release. It is being said that Vignesh Shivan's project is put on hold by Ajith and Lyca, which might be revived as AK63. However, we have to wait for an official announcement from Lyca Productions to find out the truth about AK62.
