Indian badminton star P.V. Sindhu recently tied the knot with Venkata Datta Sai in a grand ceremony held on December 22, 2024, at the luxurious Raffles Hotel in Udaipur.
The couple’s love story rekindled during a chance encounter on a flight in October 2022, leading to an intimate engagement and culminating in this lavish wedding.
The wedding festivities spanned three days, featuring a variety of themed events:
Sangeet: A Mughal-e-Azam-themed night where Sindhu dazzled in a sequined green gown, and Venkata complemented her in a navy-blue suit.
Haldi: A vibrant ceremony filled with traditional rituals.
Mehendi: Inspired by the Bridgerton series, adding a touch of regency elegance to the celebrations.
Varmala: Sindhu wore a crimson Sabyasachi lehenga, while Venkata donned a beige sherwani, both exuding regal charm.
Wedding Ceremony: The bride opted for an ivory-toned handcrafted saree by Manish Malhotra, featuring intricate embroidery and a personalized veil inscribed with the couple’s names. The groom matched her elegance in an ivory brocade sherwani.
The guest list included prominent personalities from various fields. Notably, Tamil actor Ajith Kumar attended the wedding reception with his wife, Shalini, and their children, Anoushka and Aadvik. Ajith’s presence, along with his family’s, added a touch of star power to the event. Anoushka, in particular, garnered attention for her stunning red outfit, drawing admiration from attendees.
