After years of delay, ‘Bangarraju’ launched finally

‘Bangarraju’ has been the favourite of the Telugu cine media. Every year since the release of ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ (2016), the sequel has been an object of baseless speculation. More than five years since the release of ‘SCN’, ‘Bangarraju’ was launched today at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad.

Akkineni Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya have teamed up with Ramya Krishna and ‘Uppena’ beauty Krithi Shetty for the family entertainer. As per the story, it’s a semi-fantasy entertainer as well. Director Kalyan Krishna is helming the movie.

With music by Anup Rubens, ‘Bangarraju’ will have a large cast.

Ahead of the release of ‘Wild Dog’, Nag had said that ‘Bangarraju’ will be a Sankranthi release, whichever year it might be. “This is a Sankranthi film. If it’s not possible to start the shoot this year and hit the marquee in January 2022, ‘Bangarraju’ will release for Sankranthi 2023,” the ‘Officer’ and ‘Manmadhudu 2’ actor added. It has to be seen what are the plans now, given that Sankranthi 2022 is going to have at least three huge Telugu releases.

Nag is also doing an action thriller with director Praveen Sattaru. Its schedule is ongoing in Hyderabad. Kajal Aggarwal is playing a RAW officer in it.
