The most recent interview of actor Naga Chaitanya, the ex-husband of popular actress Samantha, has gone viral. It is perceived in Tollywood media that he has given a indirect hint of the real reason for their divorce. It may be recalled that Chai and Sam who fell in love and got married in 2017 shocked fans by announcing that they are divorcing on October 2nd just a week before their fourth wedding anniversary.
Speculations were rife as to what the real reason was for the celebrity couple splitting with rumours suggesting that the actress grew close to her stylist Preetham while others reported thast she was only interested in acting and she never wanted to have children and had abortions.
Samantha released a strong statement “A divorce in itself is an extremely painful process. Let alone allowing me the time to heal. This attack on me personally, has been relentless. But I promise you this, I will never allow this or anything else they say, break me,”
Naga Chaitanya on the other hand had not opened up about his divorce but the aforementioned interview is seen as a sly dig at Samantha. He had said “When I choose all kinds of roles I will be careful that it never, ever affects my family and our dignity. " These words have led the media to feel that Samantha taking up bold roles like the one she did in 'Super Deluxe' and 'The Famlily Man 2' and her item dance in 'Pushpa' for the song "Oo Antava" may have triggered the irreconcible differences between the couple.
Samantha meanwhile after the trying times in her personal life is soaring in her professional arena as she has signed several prestigious projects including one in Hollywood. She is currently shooting for 'Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal' costarring Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara and 'Yashoda' that also has Varu Sarathkumar in the cast.
