Popular Kannada actress Ragini Dwivedi who has also acted as Jayam Ravi’s pair in the Tamil film ‘Nimirundhu Nil’ was arrested on Friday by Central Crime Branch with regards to the drug scandal that has rocked the Kannada Fim Industry. Ragini i will be in police custody for three days and the statements that she has given are shocking to say the least.
According to reports Ragini has stated that similar to the villain in Suriya’s ‘Singam 2’ directed by Hari, an African named Samba will bring the drugs on the sea and then will supply it to key persons in Bengaluru. One of the local agents is said to be Ragini’s friend Ravi who is also in custody who has been supplying the abusive substances to famous film personalities when they have parties.
It is also said that apart from the film industry those in politics too have been enjoying the drugs in Karnataka for the past several years. It is said that at least two dozen male and female celebrities and politicians are under the CCB scanner and more arrests are expected to be made in the coming days.
