Ram Gopal Varma has urged Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to wake up in the face of what he calls the “mad dog media”, by which he means to refer to Arnab Goswami’s Republic TV. In a series of tweets, the filmmaker said that Shiv Sena, the ruling party of Maha, should become the tiger it was during the era of Bal Thackeray.
“It is a sad and shocking truth that Shiv Sena has become such a toothless tiger against the MAD DOG MEDIA. I request you, Uddhav Thackeray, at least for the sake of your great SARKAR father in heaven, you should protect the poor Shiv Sena from being eaten alive by Arnab Goswami,” RGV tweeted controversially.
In a subsequent tweet, the controversial filmmaker said, “Dear Mumbai Police, after all the exemplary work you have done for decades before and during Covid, the Republic TV mafia managed to encounter kill you ..I just wanted to tell you that I am crying for you and I am requesting you to do something for the society’s sake before he buries you.”
Wonder why RGV is wondering about society all of a sudden?
