Actress Neelima Rani started her career as a child artist in Kamal Haasan's cult classic 'Devar Magan' in the year 1992. She has since starred in many movies such as Jayam Ravi's 'Idhaya Thirudan', Vishal's 'Thimiru', Prithviraj's 'Mozhi' and Raghava Lawrence's 'Rajadhi Raja'.

She then moved to television and tasted huge success playing prominent recurring characters in memorable serials namely 'Metti Oli', 'Kolangal', 'Thendral' and 'Chellame'. She is also a part of upcoming film, tv and OTT projects.

In 2008 Neelima married Esaivanan with whom she has a daughter and changed her screen name to Neelima Esai. The talented actress shared a pic of herself with her husband and daughter and announced that she is 20 weeks pregnant with her second child and is expecting the bundle of joy to arrive in January 2020.
