Losliya gets highly emotional on Sri Lankan crisis

Former Sri Lankan news anchor and model Losliya Mariyanesan is a familiar face amongst Tamils all over the globe after her stint on ‘Bigg Boss 3’ hosted by Kamal Haasan.  She is now a buys actress in Kollywood after her debut in ‘Friendship’ and is now looking forward to the release of K.S. Ravikumar’s ‘Koogle Kuttappa’ costarring Tharshan.

Meanwhile it is well documented that Sri Lanka is in the midst of a severe economical crisis arising due to shortage of foreign currencies and sustaining a twin deficit – a budget shortfall alongside a current account deficit.  The successive governments in the past few decades have blamed for it and the present government under Mahinda Rajapakshe has been ousted.

There is heavy shortage of fuel, electricity and other essentials leading the people to take to the streets in protest and several violent incidents have been reported.  Economical experts predict a long road to recovery as a stable government should first be formed and then try to rescue the economy.

Losliya has taken to Instagram to write an emotional note that has won the hearts of her country people and fans alike.  Her words go “We, Srilankans who faced a very worst war & we lost everything including our families , we faced Tsunami, we faced bomb blasts in churches on 2019 , we are facing covid & now we are facing economic crisis. These are not our fault we are facing everything because we’re Srilankans. In every situation, we were strong enough to handle all these. Now, let’s be together and support each other to overcome this pathetic situation. ????”
