Actress Kalki Koechlin has given birth to a baby girl and its the first child of her and boyfirend Guy Hershberg. It is reported that the birth took place on February 7th and in an early interview the stunning actress had stated that she preferred a water birth. Kalki shared the news of her pregnancy several months back writing "Relieved I can let that bump hang free after months of stuffing it into costumes which fit me at the beginning of shoot schedules in July but were not so easy to zip up by mid September! And kudos to my style saviours". After that she had posted several photos celebrating her pregnancy.

Kalki Koechlin who is of French descent was born in Pondicherry and raised in Kalhatty, Ooty and is very proficient in Tamil and has stated in many interviews that she identifies herself as a Tamil girl. After several Bollywood hits to her credit she made her Tamil film debut in Thala Ajith's 'Nerkonda Paarvai' in which she played a cameo.

Kalki will soon be seein in Tamil in a lead role in 'Kaadan' (Haathi Mera Saathi) in Hindi directed by Prabhu Solomon which has Vishnu Vishal and Rana Daggubatti as the male leads.
