A mysterious illness has claimed the life of twenty eight year old Thai actress Butsaran Thongchio who was admitted to the Sriraj Hospital in Thailand after collapsing suddenly. Her filmmaker father Wirote Thongchio has posted on social media "My daughter has passed away peacefully at 2.17am ... thank you everyone for caring for her. My heart is full of grief and sympathy for her (for having to go through such illness and departed),”.

Butsaran, better known by her nickname Numtarn, entered showbusiness by starring in a music video and a movie. She then joined The Star singing contest and appeared in a popular TV series.

The Thongchio family has allowed the hospital to use Butsaran's body for research so as to prevent anyone else from suffering the same fate. It is said that she was a non drinker and smoker and very healthy and was enjoying a dinner at home when she started bleeding in the nose and mouth suddenly and her heart stopped beating for no reason. Doctors could not locate the exact reason for her bleeding and brain swelling and are still at a loss why this happened to the young actress.
