Actor, Producer and Nadigar Sangam General Secretary Vishal celebrates his 39th Birthday today.

Born as the younger son of producer G.K.Reddy, Vishal stepped into Kollywood as an Assistant director to actor-director Arjun. However he was introduced as a hero and has emerged as one of the leading young heroes of Kollywood and is a strong force in the film industry today.

Vishal was introduced as a hero by director Gandhi Krishna in his 2004 thriller flick Chellamey`. Vishal`s second outing Sandakozhi` directed by Lingusamy turned out to be an all-center blockbuster and established him as a commercial action hero. This was followed by the stupendous success of action flicks Thimiru` and Thamirabharani` directed by Hari which strengthened Vishal`s foothold in commercial cinema.

While he was being typecast in larger than life action hero roles, Vishal acted in the romantic comedy Theeradha VIlayattu Pillai`. However his brilliant portrayal of the squint eyed and effeminate character in director Bala`s Avan Ivan` was widely acclaimed. No one thought till then that Vishal will try such an experimental role but he did it and also won accolades for his performance in that multi-layered character.

Suseenthiran`s Pandiyanadu` came as a blockbuster when Vishal`s career was in a rough patch due to a few back to back failures. The other notable hit films of Vishal include Pandiraj`s Kathakali` and Muthiah`s Marudhu`. He also acted in a few other experimental flicks like Samar` and Naan Sigappu Manithan` but both the films did not do well in terms of commercial returns.

His upcoming release is Kaththi Sandai` directed by Suraj which will also mark the reentry of Vaigaipuyal Vadivelu as the lead comedian. This is going to be a sure shot hit for Deepavali 2016.

Apart from acting and producing films, Vishal played a highly instrumental role in the revamp of Nadigar Sangam and the team spearheaded by him has now taken over the administration of the Sangam after winning the tough fought election in October 2015. Now Nasser is the President of the Sangam and Vishal holds the second powerful post of General Secretary and under their leadership many notable steps for the welfare of the Sangam and its members are being conducted.

As an individual, Vishal is also helping many old members of the Nadigar Sangam and also common people who live in poor conditions. He is undertaking social work apart from his acting commitments and work related to Nadigar Sangam.
