‘Acharya’: Day 1 collections revealed!

‘Acharya’ is now one-day-old. The film, which hit the screens on Friday, is directed by Koratala Siva. It’s now fairly overdue to assess the box-office attractiveness of the big-ticket, two-hero movie. 

As per Konidela Production Company and Matinee Entertainment, the action entertainer collected Rs 33 Cr (share, including GST) on Day 1 in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The figure is encouraging and goes to show that the superstardom and stupendous pull of the Megastar Chiranjeevi-Ram Charan duo is undiminished. 

The Overseas figures are also trickling in. From Thursday’s premiers and Friday, ‘Acharya’ grossed $804,377 from 376 locations. 

The film features an ensemble cast who have given excellent performances: Pooja Hegde, Ajay, Jisshu Sengupta, Saurav Lokesh, Kishore, Banerjee, Satyadev Kancharana, and others. Nasser and Vennela Kishore are also seen. 

With music by Mani Sharma, whose background score is praiseworthy, ‘Acharya’ has production design by Suresh Selvarajan. With cinematography by Thirru, its action choreography is by Ram-Laxman and Vijay. The film’s second-day collections are expected to be highly motivating.
