‘Muthayya’ Teaser: Old man’s big dream hits home

‘Muthayya’, starring K Sudhakar Reddy in the role of an old man whose burning desire to act in at least one film remains unfulfilled, is directed by Bhaskhar Maurya. On Saturday, Natural Star Nani released the film’s teaser. 

Co-starring Arun Raj, Mounika Bomma, Purna Chandra, T Sai Leela, Jayavardhan Sagar (Bunny), and Kiran Kumar, the teaser introduces us to the nature of the drama. “The old man shares all his joys and sorrows with his best friend Malli, a 24-year-old guy who runs a cycle repair shop in the same village. As the story unfolds, Muthayya tries to exhibit his acting skills through every possible medium, but the obstacles he faces in the process leave him heartbroken,” the makers said. 

Divakar Mani’s frames are pleasant, while Karthik Rodriguez’s music builds up the rural atmosphere. Sai Murali has edited the drama. Produced by Fictionary Entertainment, the film has lyrics by Shiva Krishna Erroju and Bhaskhar Maurya. Vidyasagar Bankupalli, Chinna K, and Karthik Rodriguez have sung the songs.

‘Muthayya’ is headed for an official screening at UK Asian Film Festival in London at Rich Mix on May 9.
