‘Abhimanyudu’: First week gross is superb

Vishal’s ‘Abhimanyudu’ was on a roll in its first week.  Released on June 1, the PS Mithran directorial collected a gross of Rs. 12 crores as of Thursday end.  

Nizam’s Rs. 4.37 crores, Vizag’s Rs. 1.50 crores, Krishna’s Rs. 1.03 crores, and Ceeded’s Rs. 1 crores (nearly) are among the top performers.  Starring Samantha and Arjun Sarja in key roles, the film has pulled off a big feat for a dubbed movie.  

“The thriller has entered the second week with superb collections in 261 centers,” producer Gujjalapudi Hari says.  

The film clashed with Nagarjuna-RGV’s ‘Officer’ and Raj Tarun-Sanjana Reddy’s ‘Raju Gadu’.  The two films flopped big-time.
