Vijay is a brand and he has built it strong as a rock for the past 30 years in the Kollywood film industry. Though Vijay has acted in many movies as a child actor, his first movie as a lead was with Naalaiya Theerpu on December 4, 1992. Since he has covered 30 successful years in the film industry, his fans have been engaged in some charitable activities.

Vijay Makkal Iyakkam which is known to carry out charitable activities on behalf of the actor, donated clothes and gold rings to newborn babies to commemorate 30 years of Thalapathy. 30 children born at Adyar Government Maternity Hospital were provided with clothes and gold rings by Vijay Makkal Iyakkam. Similarly earlier 20 babies born in Chrompet Government Hospital were given gold rings.

On the work front, Vijay will next be seen in the upcoming film Varisu, which has been directed by Vamshi Paidipally. Starring Rashmika Mandanna opposite Vijay, the film is a departure from the actor’s larger-than-life action hero persona and is a romantic drama instead.

Not just this, his upcoming filmThalapathy 67 also has created some hype among his fans as the film is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Speculations are rife that the film will have an LCU connect while some are proclaiming that it would be a stand-alone film. We will have to wait to know the official announcement from the film's team.
