TN govt to disburse funds to 13 lakh people with disabilities!

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami has announced that around 13 lakh persons with disabilities in the state will get Rs 1,000 each as cash relief to support them during the total lockdown.
Earlier on Monday, the Chief Minister had announced another round of Rs 1,000 cash assistance to ration card holders and workers belonging to the unorganised sector. Currently, there are 13.35 lakh persons with disabilities holding identity cards in the state.
Alongside these measures, starting from June 22, government officials will be visiting rice ration card holders in person and will distribute the fund of Rs 1000. From the day the nationwide lockdown was implemented (March 24), the TN government has been giving cash assistance to ration card holders. The government also disbursed Rs 2,000 in two instalments to 14,667 members of the State welfare board for hairdressers.
