Cinema lovers and movie buffs are in for a grand treat as the much anticipated Chennai International Film Festival is all set to begin this coming December 14. This year will mark the 15th edition of this film festival which is highly anticipated.

This year, twelve best Tamil films of the year will battle it out for the Best Film title. The details of the films are as follows: 'Vikram Vedha', 'Thupparivalan', 'Taramani', 'Oru Kuppai Kadhai', 'Oru Kidaariyin Karunai Manu', 'Manushangada', 'Magalir Mattum' , 'Maanagaram', 'Kurangu Bommai', 'Kadugu', 'Aram', '8 Thottakkal'. 

The film festival will also see a special screening of 'En Magan Magizhvan' ('My Son is Gay') directed by Lokesh. The festival will also see a screening of 12 films for the Indian Panorama section. The launch event for th film festival will be conducted on the evening of December 14.
