Yuvan Shankar Raja calmly handles controversial criticisms from fans

Yuvan Shankar Raja like his illustrious father Isaigniani Ilayraja has carved a niche for himself in the Tamil film industry as one of the most talented music composers of the current generation.  In 2014 he revealed that he has converted to Islam and has taken the name Abdul Khalique and in 2015 got married to Zafroon a Muslim girl and has a daughter Ziya.

Yuvan on Facebook posted a religious message “But they plan and Allah plans and Allah is the best of planners”.  Many of his followers started posting abusive messages that he is a shame to his family as his father is known to be a devotee of Lord Shiva.

The social media users threatened to unfollow Yuvan to which he calmly replied that they are welcome to leave.  He then went on to post a strong message to all that reads “Let me explain this to you. I’m an Indian. I’m Tamilian. I’m a Muslim. If you think Muslims exist only in Arabia, then that shows your ignorance, my brother. Faith and Race are two different things. Race and language are two different things. Nationality and religion are two different things. Belief is what is within. If you can’t understand this simple logic. What else would you understand? I have taken my time to explain this to you, my fellow Indian brother, because you should cut the crap. Stop with this hate-mongering. Peace be upon you”,

Neutral fans are lauding Yuvan for calmly handling a controversial situation on social media and also making his stand clear to those who questioned him.  The ace composer’s next movies are Vijay Sethupathi’s ‘Maamanithan’, Simbu’s ‘Maanaadu’, Dhanush’s ‘Naane Varuven’, Santhanam’s ‘Dikkiloona’ and the most awaited Thala Ajith’s ‘Valimai’.
