It was earlier announced that actor Yogi Babu has signed a new film under debutant Yash's directorial. The sources revealed that he plays a Youtuber in the movie that it is titled 'Veerappanin Gajana'. Motta Rajendran is co-starring the comedy star in a supporting role. This film is scripted by Raatchasi director Gowthamraj while the story is penned by Prabhadish Samz.
This flick is bankrolled by the writer Prabhadish Samz's Four Square Studios and co-produced by Happy GB Infotainment. The latest update is that the team has decided to change the title as Veerappan's family’s requested the title of the film to be changed. And so, the team will now be changing the title. While the new title is yet to announce, this seems like a great gesture from the makers.
Also, director Yash has opened up about this project in an interview some time ago. Yash said, “The film is an adventure comedy and will track a few people who come to a forest in search of treasure. One of the main tracks is that of Yogi Babu, an active YouTuber, who ends up in the forest because of a certain circumstance. There, he meets Mottai Rajendran’s character – he lands up in the forest in search of his pet monkey, who he treats as his own son.”
The team has wrapped up the recent schedule. “We shot in forests surrounding Kalakkadu, Tenkasi and Nagercoil. We plan to commence the next schedule by next month; it will happen either in Talakona or Kerala." said the director. This movie also features Rajesh, Deva, Pooja and Jeevitha in important roles. The makers revealed that they decided to change the title as the story has nothing to do with Veerappan. The new title will be officially announced soon. Stay tuned.
