Will Akhil’s ‘Mr. Majnu’ release in Jan?

The makers of ‘Mr. Majnu’ are aiming to wrap up most of the shoot by December 3.  About 15 days of patch work and a song shoot are pending.  As of now, the plan is to release the movie on Jan 25.  Recently, Akkineni Akhil too confirmed that the rom-com will see a January release.  

Although the film is going on as per a planned schedule, there are doubts whether ‘Mr. Majnu’ will release during the R-Day weekend.  Clarity will emerge by the end of December.  

Meanwhile, Akhil is planning a project with Kollywood director PS Mithran of the recent ‘Abhimanyudu’ (Vishal-Samantha-Arjun starrer) fame.  The disastrous performance of ‘Akhil’ and the not-so-satisfactory run of ‘Hello’ last year has prompted the young hero to work with young directors.  After Venky Atluri, he is seriously considering Mithran.
