“We’ve Delivered a Hit!” – Vijay Deverakonda on Kingdom’s Blockbuster Start

The much-awaited Vijay Deverakonda starrer Kingdom finally hit theatres worldwide on July 31, and the response has been nothing short of phenomenal. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the gangster drama also stars Satyadev and Bhagyashri Borse in key roles and is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas.

Speaking at a success meet, a visibly elated Vijay Deverakonda said, “I can’t express in words how happy I am with the response for Kingdom. Since the US premieres, my phone hasn’t stopped ringing. So many people have called me emotionally saying, ‘Anna, we’ve delivered a hit!’ This success is possible only because of your love and the blessings of Lord Venkanna Swamy.”

Vijay also thanked his fans for their unwavering support, adding, “Seeing how my Telugu people are celebrating this success is overwhelming. I want to celebrate it with the audience here and in the US soon.” He credited director Gowtam Tinnanuri for his performance and thanked NTR for lending his voice to the teaser.

Producers Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya expressed happiness over the film’s strong start, calling it a technically superior Telugu film made on par with Hollywood standards. “We’ve already recovered more than half of the business on day one itself.
