Earlier this month, an auto-driver named J Ramulu became a Good Samaritan when he honestly returned Rs 10 lakh that was left in his three-wheeler by two passengers. The driver was in Secunderabad when he realized that the bag containing the huge amount was lying unclaimed in his auto. He understood that it must be of the two passengers whom he had dropped in Gacchibowli earlier in the day. He immediately went back to them, much to the owners' relief.

Although a poor man, Ramulu was not tempted by easy money. "I didn't want to enjoy my life by leeching on others' money," he told the media. The owners of the money rewarded him with Rs 10,000 for his honesty.

Former cricketer VVS Laxman today took to Twitter to tell about the incident. "Ramulu, an auto-driver from Hyderabad returned a bag full of Rs 10 lakh cash to 2 passengers who had forgotten it behind in his auto. Ramulu himself is suffering from financial distress yet did not get swayed by the circumstances. To thank Ramulu the two brothers awarded him," Laxman wrote.
