The untimely death of VJ Chithra on December 9th has left her fans shell shocked and she is the topic of discussion in the media even after a week has passed. Currently her husband Hemnath Ravi has been arrested and jailed for abetting her suicide and the RDO inquiry is going on.

Chithra has done only two serials 'Velunaachi' and 'Pandian Stores' and won the hearts of millions of audiences who converted as her followers on social media as well. Especially her portrayal of Mullai in 'Pandian Stores' is so endearing that fans are campaigning on social media that she should not be replaced by any other actress.

But this is show biz and the show must go on which Chithra herself as an artiste would agree if she was alive and 'Bharathi Kannamma' actress Kaavya Arivumani has been cast as Mullai and has already started shooting for her episodes.

Hema Rajkumar one of the lead heroines of 'Pandian Stores' has also confirmed the same in an Insta interaction and has also revealed that the footage that Chithu already shot will be aired till December 22nd.

This means that Chithra will live albeit in her capacity as an actress for another four episodes as Mullai. Kaavya will then don the role for the episodes of 'Pandian Stores' from December 23rd.
