Actor Vivek, who’s been seen so far in humorous roles with social message laced in them, had acted in few movies directed by V Shekar, Naanthaan Bala, Ezhumin etc in lead role, and now the details on his next as a protagonist are out.
Vivek’s next is going to be Vellai Pookal, the first look of which was released by actor Suriya today. Vellai Pookal will revolve around Rudran, an ex cop played by Vivek who comes to US to live with his son with whom he had a fallout, and there he becomes involved in a mysterious case.
Actor Charlie plays his sidekick Bharathi with whom he tries to resolve the mystery, and Pooja Devariya plays Charlie’s daughter in the movie. Shot predominantly in the US, with few sequences in Chennai, Vellai Pookal which will present Vivek in a new dimension, will release on April 19.
