VIT Bhopal Extends Support to Myanmar Earthquake Relief Efforts

New Delhi, April 24, 2025:  In a significant gesture of solidarity and humanitarian support, Ms. Kadhambari S Viswanathan, Assistant Vice President of Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), has contributed a sum of 2,45,92,500 Myanmar Kyats (equivalent to INR 10 lakhs) towards the welfare and relief efforts following the recent devastating earthquake in Myanmar.

The contribution was made on behalf of VIT Bhopal and formally handed over to His Excellency Zaw Oo, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, during a meeting held at the Myanmar Embassy in New Delhi on April 24, 2025.

This donation underscores VIT Bhopal’s ongoing commitment to global humanitarian causes and reflects the institution’s ethos of empathy and global citizenship.
