Vishal’s ‘Sandakozhi 2’- Commencement and release plans

Director Lingusamy and actor Vishal teamed up for the first time to deliver the all-class favourite blockbuster 'Sandakozhi'. The film released in the year 2005 is Vishal's second film as an actor and his first big success that stabilised his career. 

The talks about the sequel to this film has been doing rounds for long but then it is yet to go on floors. A few days back we had reported that the film's shoot will commence on August 31, 2017 (Read Here:Vishal and Varalakshmi date and city confirmed)

Further to this we learn that a grand set is being erected in Chennai  and Lingusamy plans to begin the shoot at this set, The first schedule will go on for 40 days without any break.

In addition, we also learn from a reliable source that the makers are planning to complete the film at a breakneck speed and bring it to the screens for Pongal festival in January 2018.

'Sandakozhi 2' will have Keerthy Suresh as the female lead. It is said that Varalaxmi Sarathkumar will also be playing an important role in the film while Soori will take care of comic quotient.
