It has been rumoured that actor Vishal is going to take the plunge into politics by contesting against TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu in the Kuppam constituency in the 2024 Assembly elections. The ‘Enemy’ actor has reacted to the rumour.
He has made it clear that movies are his only priority. “I have been hearing rumours about my entry into politics in Andhra Pradesh and contesting in the Kuppam constituency. I absolutely deny it, not aware of this at all and nobody contacted me about this,” the ‘Abhimanyudu’ star said.
He added, “I don’t know from where this news surfaced. It’s going to be movies and movies for me and there is no intention of entering into Andhra Pradesh politics or contesting against Mr. Chandrababu Naidu.”
Vishal has previously tried to dabble in politics.
On the film front, he is playing the lead in debutant Vinoth Kumar’s ‘Laththi’ and Adhik Ravichandran’s period gangster saga ‘Mark Antony’. He is also planning to direct the sequel to ‘Detective’.
