Director duo Pushkar – Gayatri had returned after a hiatus in 2017, with the action packed multistarrer flick Vikram Vedha, starring Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi and Madhavan in titular roles, besides Shraddha Srinath, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Kathir in solid supporting roles.
The movie which had Vijay Sethupathi as a deadly gangster, and Madhavan as an encounter specialist cop, turned out to be a runaway blockbuster, following which the production house Y Not studios had announced that they will be collaborating with Pushkar Gayatri for the Bollywood remake of the movie.
With no later announcement made on Hindi remake, recently there were speculations making rounds that the Tollywood remake of Vikram Vedha will star Nandamuri Balakrishna and Doctor Rajasekhar in lead roles. However, Y Not studios has made it official and clarified on these speculations that these are baseless rumours, and that the remake rights are still with them, while also requesting media not to share such information, saying that the official announcements will be made by them.
