The consummate actor Vikram has battled a struggling screenplay and mixed reviews to lift ‘Iru Mugan’ to a safety zone. The box office collections so far is making the right noises which could get even better as the next weekend poses no challenges at all.
For the first time in his career, Vikram has reportedly changed his approach and has signed a film to be directed by relative newcomer Socrates, whose previous film ‘Bramman’starring the likes of Sasikumar and Santhanam was widely panned by critics and was an absolute dud at the box office. One thing is for sure that the story that Socrates has narrated to Chiyaan must be simply out of this world for him to have committed to it. The as yet untitled film produced by Silverline Film Factory is expected to begin shooting soon with Kajal Agarwal most probably playing the female lead.
