‘Dharmadurai’ brings biggest collection for Vijay Sethupathi

Versatile Actor Vijay Sethupathi's 'Dharmadurai' directed by his mentor Seenu Ramasamy has released worldwide yesterday amid huge expectations. The reviews for the film has been highly mixed. While a considerable section of fans and reviewers have lapped up the film for its emotional content. rural setting, good music and fine visuals, another section has been left unsatisfied mainly due to the slow-paced screenplay.

In terms of box office returns, the first day has been tremendously impressive for 'Dharmadurai'. The film has collected Rs.2.8 crores from Tamil Nadu with the Chennai and Chengalpet theatricals contributing Rs.36 lakhs and Rs.69 lakhs respectively. According to sources in the Trade, this is the biggest ever opening day collection for a Vijay Sethupathi starrer.

If this trend continues we hope VIjay Sethupathi will get another super hit this year after 'Sethupathi' and 'Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum'.

'Dharmadurai' stars Tamannah. Shrusti Dange, Aishwarya Rajesh as female leads. Radhika and Rajesh have played praiseworthy supporting roles while Yuvan Shankar Raja's music and Sukumaran's cinematography have lifted the film's fortunes.
