Vijay Sethupathi Reunites with Balaji Tharaneetharan: Atlee to Produce Their Next Film!

Tamil cinema’s beloved Vijay Sethupathi is all set to team up once again with director Balaji Tharaneetharan for a highly anticipated new film, produced under Atlee’s A for Apple Productions. This marks their third collaboration, following the cult hits Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom (2012) and Seethakaathi (2018).

Lijomol Jose, who won hearts with her stellar performance in Jai Bhim, has been cast as the female lead opposite Vijay Sethupathi — her next major Tamil project after her impactful debut.

Atlee, riding high on the success of Jawan, Bigil, and Mersal, takes on the producer’s role for this film. Sources reveal that the project has been in development for nearly two years, with pre-production now complete and shooting slated to begin soon.

While the plot remains under wraps, Balaji Tharaneetharan’s storytelling style — known for blending humor, emotion, and social commentary — promises a unique cinematic experience.

Currently, Vijay Sethupathi has completed Mysskin’s Train and is actively shooting for Puri Jagannadh’s untitled action drama. He also continues to charm audiences as the host of Bigg Boss Tamil, proving his unmatched versatility.
