Indian Film Maharaja Achieves Record Box Office Success in China

‘Maharaja,’ the 50th film of Vijay Sethupathi, was directed by Nithilan Swaminathan. Released in June last year, the movie received a warm reception and earned over ?100 crore at the box office. The film was later dubbed in Chinese and released in November, where it captivated audiences in China.

‘Maharaja’ has become the highest-grossing Indian movie in China since 2018, collecting ?91.55 crore in the region. It follows in the footsteps of other successful Indian films in China, such as Aamir Khan’s ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘Dangal,’ which are among the highest-grossing Indian films there.
