While the recently released teaser of Ilayathalapathy Vijay's upcoming film 'Theri' keeps smashing all the records set by Kollywood film teasers, here comes another news of celebration for Vijay fans as well as general movie buffs.

Sources close to the 'Theri' team reveal that 'the film will have a sequel mantled by the same director Atlee with Vijay in the lead role. The team apparently decided this after completing the climax shoot at Ladakh.

Sources further reveal that the sequel will focus more on Vijay's relationship with his daughter and Vijay's real life daughter will play this role. To maintain continuity the daughter character will be a little grown up one. Amy Jackson who plays one of the heroines in 'Theri' is expected to be retained for the sequel also.
