Director John Mahendran, the son of legendary director Mahendran, known for classics like Mullum Malarum, Johnny etc had made his debut in Tamil with the Vijay starrer romantic hit Sachien released in 2005.

The director had next made a movie Aaniver, and also went on to work in the direction team and dialogues of several movies. John Mahendran was also a part of superstar Rajnikanth's last release Darbar directed by AR Murugadoss.

Now, John Mahendran has joined the team of actor RK Suresh's next movie which is the official remake of the Malayalam thriller hit Joseph, which is directed by M Padmakumar who directed the original version and produced by director Bala. John Mahendran has confirmed this via Twitter.
