After garnering a decent response from audiences and critics in Telugu states, Vijay Deverakonda’s recent film Kingdom is now gearing up for its international release in Sri Lanka. The Tamil version of the action drama is set to hit the big screens on August 8, 2025, across approximately 20 theaters in the island nation.
Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, known for his critically acclaimed film Jersey, Kingdom blends emotional depth with high-stakes action. The film also stars Satya Dev and Bhagyashri Borse in pivotal roles and marks the Tollywood debut of Mollywood actor Venkitesh, adding a fresh dynamic to the ensemble.
The movie’s music, composed by Anirudh Ravichander, has already struck a chord with fans, further boosting its popularity. Backed by producers Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya, the multilingual film was designed to appeal to audiences across regions.
As Kingdom ventures into a new market, all eyes are on how Tamil audiences in Sri Lanka will receive this Telugu-origin film. Given the growing popularity of South Indian cinema internationally, Kingdom could find solid footing in its new territory.
