Vijay Antony is now an accomplished actor, music composer, producer, director and editor in Tamil cinema. His latest film, ‘Pichaikkaran 2’, made its silver screen debut yesterday. Now, netizens are making memes saying that Vijay Antony is connected to the major decisions regarding our country’s economy.

Vijay Antony starred in Pichaikkaran directed by Sasi. The movie was released in cinemas in 2016 and became a huge hit. A few months after the release of Pichaikkaran, the Central Government announced the demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes by introducing Rs 2000 notes.

The film had a scene in which a character talks about demonetising currency and it went viral back then. Now, the Central Government has announced that the Rs 2000 notes will be withdrawn from circulation yesterday, on the day of Pichaikkaran 2’s release. Internet users are now making memes based on this coincidence and it is trending.
