Vijay Antony one of the leading stars of Tamil cinema was involved in a freak accident in Malaysia a few days back. He was shooting for his upcoming film 'Pichaikkaran 2' and a boat chase was being canned when the mishap occurred. It was reported that the boat that Vijay Antony and heroine Kavya Thappar were travelling lost control and crashed into another boat.

According to reports both the stars fell into the sea and were luckily rescued. While Kavya sustained minor injuries and flew back to her hometown Mumbai, Vijay Antony was admitted in the ICU in a private hospital in Langkawi with more severe injuries. Fathima Vijay Antony immediately flew to Malaysia to be with her husband who was unconcious for a few hours but later regained.

Now director Susienthiran who is working with Vijay Antony in 'Valli Maiyil' has shared on Twitter that the music director turned hero has returned to Chennai and has been advised bed rest at home. He requested fans not to believe in any rumours on social media and promised that Vijay Antony himself will address fans via video very soon. The post has brought relief to fans of the affable star.
