Suriya Withdraws from ‘Vadivasal’: Soori to Take Over?

Suriya becomes an enigma, as he accepts the film and soon backs away from his upcoming movie ‘Vadivasal’ by director Vetrimaran. The rumor mill went abuzz that another actor of the same name would replace Suriya.

Suriya’s exit from the much-hyped ‘Vadivasal’, announced close to two years ago, has brought fresh uncertainty. Discussions began with regard to the replacement of Suriya by Dhanush, but the solution came in the form of his numerous film commitments.

In a surprising development, Vetrimaran, obviously impressed by Soori’s acting while working with him in ‘Viduthalai’, agreed to play the lead in ‘Vadivasal’. Having watched the performance of Soori and being thorough with it, Vetrimaran now goes on to direct it with Soori in the lead role.
