Venkat Prabhu confirms ‘Maanaadu 2’ – Is it his next after ‘Thalapathy 68’ ?

Vijay and Simbu fans are in high spirits after director Venkat Prabhu’s recent post on X of just three words ‘The Loop Continues’.  Simbu fans who are longing for an official announcement about their idol’s next project have a lot cheer by this strong hint by VP.

Yesterday, November 25th marked the second anniversary of Simbu’s ‘Maanaadu’ directed by Venkat Prabhu.  Right from producer Suresh Kamatchi, to hero Simbu, villain S.J. Suryah and heroine Kalyani Priyadarshan took to X to celebrate the memories of the blockbuster hit time loop film.

Simbu especially penned an emotional note ‘Two years of endless love and celebrations! Wouldn’t mind getting in this time loop one more time! Thanks to all the people involved in creating this masterpiece!”  Venkat Prabhu obliged by replying that the sequel is very much on making not only Simbu fans but fans of ‘Maanaadu’ super happy.

Simbu after many delays is expected to begin shooting for his next ‘STR 48’ produced by Kamal Haasan and directed by Desingh Periyasamy in a few week’s time.  Venkat Prabhu is currently directing ‘Thalapathy 68’ which is also said to be a SciFi thriller with Vijay appearing in dual roles as a middle aged man and a 25 year old.
