Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Varisu’ pre-release business creates sensation in South Indian cinema

We broke the news earlier to you that the entire shooting of Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Varisu’ is wrapped up barring some patchwork that will be shot in Hyderabad.  The post production work is in full swing to meet the world wide  release on January 12th 2023.

Meanwhile the pre-release business of ‘Varisu’ has reportedly begun and the project has already brought in a more than the budget.  It is said that Amazon Prime Video has grabbed the streaming rights for Rs. 60 crores while Sun TV has offered around 50 crores for the satellite.  The overseas and the Hindi dubbing rights are said to have fetched around 70 crores while the audio rights have bagged a cool 10 Crores.  

Producer Dil Raju has planned for own release in the Telugu states targetting a collection of around rupees sixty crores minimum.  Negotiations are underway for record breaking prices for Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka.

‘Varisu’ directed by Vamshi Paidipally has music by Thaman and the ensemble cast of Vijay, Rashmika Mandanna, Prabhu, Sarathkumar, Shaam, Srikanth, S.J. Suryah, Prakash Raj and Yogi Babu.
