Late legendary action hero Jai Shankar is a part of Ajith’s ‘Valimai’ – Check how

In less than twenty four hours Ajith’s ‘Valimai’ would have hit the screens worldwide and have become the number one trending topic on all social media platforms.  Fans who were starved of updates on the film for many months are getting them by the dozens each passing day now.

One interesting bit of trivia on ‘Valimai’ is that the late legendary Kollywood action hero Jai Shankar is a part of the film.  In the famous mother song in the movie the shots show that Ajith’s mother played by Sumithra is a widow.  However the garlanded photograph on the wall implying the father is that of Jai Shankar.

Its common knowledge that Jai fondly known as Makkal Kalaigniar was the first full fledged action hero who was also called the James Bond of the South.  Director H. Vinoth may have chosen his photo as a tribute to the star who is still hailed as a gentleman.

‘Valimai’ directed by H. Vinoth is produced by Boney Kapoor with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by Nirav Shah.  The principal cast comprises of Ajith, Karthikeya, Huma Qureshi, Sumithra and Yogi Babu.
