Jonathan Fair of Waukegan, USA has been convicted with first-degree murder in the death of his girlfriend's daughter whom he allegedly killed after she spilled juice on his Xbox.

The incident happened over a month ago when Fair's girlfriend left her daughter Skylar Mendez in the care of the 19-year-old. Initially, Fair took the child to the hospital claiming she had lost consciousness after falling down. The doctors had hoped that surgery would reduce the swelling in her head, but she succumbed to her injuries just a few days later. Skylar's mother was not present during the alleged beating, according to reports.

Prosecutors intend to seek a life sentence for Jonathan Fair for the atrocious act. His trial is scheduled to happen on February 17.
