Based on reports published in several dailies, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has on Friday announced that unemployed youths from the Brahmin community will get a Swift Dzire car! Under a self-employment programme, the AP government wants to distribute the cars. Here is how the scheme will be carried out.
The Brahmin Welfare Corporation is to provide up to Rs 2 lakh as subsidy.
The unemployed beneficiary is supposed to bear 10 percent of the total cost of the car.
The remaining share will be the responsibility of the AP Brahmin Cooperative Credit Society. This is a loan to be repaid in monthly installments.
So far, around 1.5 lakh persons have reportedly received benefits offered by the Brahmin corporation.
