Thambi Ramaiah returns as director with a Charlie Chaplin touch

Thambi Ramaiah started his career as a director debuting with  ‘Manu Neethi’ in 2000 and  much later in 2008 helmed ‘Indhralogathil Na Azhagappan’ starring Vadivelu in dual roles.  Ever since he won the National Award for Best Supporting actor for ‘Mynaa’ he has been a busy comedy and character actor over the years.

Thambi Ramaiah is back to directing a new movie titled ‘Ulagam Vilaikku Varugirathu’ in which his son Umapathy is doing the lead role while Samuthirakani, K.S. Ravikumar, Yogi Babu and Mottai Rajendran are playing pivotal roles.  Talks are on with popular actresses to play the female lead.  Thambi Ramaiah has stated that the story is based on Charlie Chaplin’s famous line “I Love to walk in the rain because nobody can see my tears”.  The shoot is scheduled to begin from the 1st of November.
