Actor-director Upendra, who is known for his unique and powerful films like A, Upendra and Uppi 2, is now coming back with his new film, UI. Apart from acting as the lead hero, he is also directing the project. The new teaser of the film has been dropped now and it looks very intriguing.

The teaser starts off with the statement, "The World Leaders Gifted U and I with Global Warming, COVID-19, Inflation, AI, Unemployment and Wars." The teaser offers a dark satire set in 2040, where people are fighting and dying over a single fruit. The government distributes rice balls and mobile phones in a manner similar to flood relief efforts, with people scavenging for food, even eating over corpses.

The contrast between the advancing world and growing poverty is stark, with the elite celebrating progress. Upendra's character is introduced as a powerful dictator, adding to the dystopian tone of the teaser.

On the whole, UI looks like yet another unique offering from Upendra which is a satirical take on the present society and how the future of India is going to be. It sets expectations for the film, which is slated for worldwide release on December 20. G. Manoharan and KP Sreekanth are producing the project under the bannersof Lahari Films LLP and Venus Entertainers. Ajaneesh Lokanath is composing the music for it.
