Udhayanidhi Stalin’s recent hard-hitting political drama ‘Maamannan’ created waves in Tamil cinema. It was Udhay’s last film as an actor, which earned him the deserved critical acclaim and box office success. The movie is all set for a world digital premiere after minting more than Rs 50 crore at the box office.
Maamannan will be available on the streaming giant Netflix in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada from July 27th. The film revolves around a reserved constituency MLA and his son facing oppression in state politics. Produced by Red Giant Movies, Mari Selvaraj directed this strong movie featuring Vadivelu, Udhay, Fahadh Faasil and Keerthy Suresh.
It has an ensemble cast including Keerthy Suresh, Lal, Azhagam Perumal, Vijayakumar, Sunil Reddy, Geetha Kailasam, Raveena Ravi, Pathmen, Ramakrishnan, and Madhan Dhakshiamoorthy in the supporting roles. AR Rahman scored music for Maamannan with cinematography by Theni Eswar and editing by Selva RK with stunts by Dhilip Subbarayan.
