Udhayanidhi Stalin the grandson of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi and the son of the current DMK head M.K. Stalin has also entered politics by contesting from the Chepauk constituency in the assembly elections 2021. The actor turned politician after watching the recent hit movie 'Karnan' has showered praise on it.
Udhayanidhi has taken to Twitter and has written in Tamil that 'Karnan' has depicted the pain of the oppressed people without exaggeration and that he expressed his love and appreciation to actor Dhanush, producer Kalaipuli S Thanu and director Mari Selvaraj.
Udhayanidhi has further added that there is a factual error in 'Karnan' explaining that its based on the Kodiyankulam riots that happened in the year 1995 when the ADMK government ruled the state. However, in the film, it was mentioned that the year is 1997 when DMK came to power.
Udhay has added that the producer and the director of 'Karnan' have promised him that the error will be rectified within two to three days.
